Hey everyone, maybe you are trying to read too much into this! It could be as simple as he needs to be home and available more for his family.
Sarah has a book coming out next month and is starting to accept speaking engagements. Along with traveling to support the role out of the book, the Palins are going to be very busy between now and the end of the year. Grandparents and childcare are great but is not a substitute for one on one time between a child and parent. Sometimes the mother has to give up somethings that are important to her other times it must be the father. From personal experience, I have always been the one working and pursuing a career while my wife was home keep things functioning at home. One of the key success factors in my career has been that I have had the luxury to focus on my career while my wife focus on keeping the home running smoothly.
Maybe this is Todd’s time shine in the backseat support role and give Sarah the luxury to go out there and make a difference while the fires are hot? I am not sure that I would be comfortable in the role but it is not my place to say. Let’s let the Palins make their decision and see where it takes them.
